Mid-August in Florida means the kids are back in school, summer thunderstorms pop up every day around 4pm and Hobby Lobby is already displaying holiday decorations. This is the time of year when I start thinking of all the fun families about schedule their beach photo sessions! Over the last few years I've had many questions and funny things happen that I feel it's time to write down some tips!
It's cold here in Sarasota. I'm talking in the 50's! This Florida Girl is dressed in leggings, doubled-up on sweaters and yes, boots. But you know what warms my heart right up? Valentine's Day! This year I'm going full speed into Mini Sessions and I can't wait work with couples, families, kids and even some doggo friends!
Siesta Key is quite obviously my favorite spot to photograph families, so I'm holding the minis from February 1st-2nd during sunset hours 4-...
Happy New Year! What a wonderful year 2018 was for my family, my business and for my clients. So many of you came back for another family vacation with new additions to the family. I cannot wait to photograph them as they grow up!

Summer is coming to an end but our storm season has just begun. After a long day of storms on Siesta Key we were finally courageous enough to head out to the beach and begin a memorable anniversary session!
Jason & Natalie were celebrating 4 years of marriage on this day. The thing that stood out to me the most about this session was not only their effortless love for one another but their creative way of commemorating each anniversary! See below!
Siesta Key just endured probably the most devastating seasons of Red Tide to date. Luckily the beaches had cleared for a few weeks and family sessions were back ON! Yay! I had the pleasure of working with this wonderful, laid back family on their vacation. We photographed right on Siesta Key Beach without any dead sea life in sight. :) One of the crafty Mama's of the group made these AWESOME custom shirts for her family to wear and remember their trip by.
Sometimes a family photography session at sunset just won't cut it: family could be flying in, the kids could be on sleep a schedule, or crazy Sarasota weather washes away any chance of us shooting that evening!
Whatever the reason, a morning photography session could be for you. During the summer months we typically start these sessions no later than 7:45am and they're still a blast!
Gather the kids, grab a coffee and head to the beach....
